Freshman Steps to Enrollment

Your first step to enrollment is applying for Undergraduate Admission.

Freshmen students have two application avenues: the UA Undergraduate App or the Common App.

The application for admission also includes the scholarship application for automatic merit scholarships and many competitive scholarships. All required supplemental documents must be submitted to complete your applications. Find out more under the Incoming Freshman section on how to apply.

Steps to Enrollment

First-time freshmen applying for summer or fall 2025 should follow these steps to complete enrollment at The University of Alabama.

Apply for Undergraduate Admission

• January 10 is the priority deadline for admission and automatic merit scholarship consideration.
• January 10 is the final deadline for competitive scholarships.
  • Includes additional scholarships applied for through the Alabama Scholarship Award Manager (ASAM).
